Assessment Types

Video Transcript:

Visven currently supports 3 different types of assessments. By the end of this video, you will be familiar with who each assessment is suited for, when each assessment can be used, and what each assessment entails.

First is the Visven General Biomechanics Screen. This screening can be used for any healthy client to establish a baseline movement profile. It can also be used on clients with previous injury history, as long as they have no movement restrictions. This screening can be performed at annual check-in visits or as part of a pre-season physical, and consists of 3 trials of a Drop Vertical Jump.

Next is the Rehabilitation Assessment, which can be used for any client with lower extremity pathology, as long as it is safe for them to perform the testing. This assessment can be performed weekly or monthly as needed as part of rehabilitation to track progress longitudinally. Testing consists of 3 trials each of 1 or more of the following tests of your choice: Drop Vertical Jump, Countermovement Jump, and/or Tuck Jump.

Last is the ACL Rehabilitation Assessment, which is specifically for clients who are currently rehabbing an ACL injury. Testing can be performed weekly or biweekly as needed as part of rehabilitation to track progress longitudinally. Testing consists of 3 trials each of 1 or more of the following tests of your choice: Drop Vertical Jump, Countermovement Jump, and/or Tuck Jump. This assessment type also allows you to input values for quad and hamstring strength, and have your client take the ACL Return to Sport after Injury score to assess psychological readiness to return to sport.
