Setting Up the Capture Space

Video Transcript:

To set up your Visven capture space, ensure you have an open area measuring approximately 7 feet by 7 feet. You will use the measuring tape provided in your starter kit to measure out the tripod's location relative to the center of the calibration mat.

Position the tripod so that it is 72 inches straight out from the mat's center, and 74 inches to the side of the mat. It should always be diagonal to your subject's right shoulder.

Adjust the tripod's height to 56 inches from the ground to the clamp where you will place your phone.

For convenience, we recommend marking the initial placement area with tape to ensure quick and hassle-free set up for your future motion analysis sessions.

Here are some tips and tricks for setting up your capture space.

The tripod should always be diagonal to your subject's right shoulder.

Place tape for reference on the floor to mark the location of the mat and tripod for easy set-up in the future.

The mat should be removed from the space after calibration is finished. When performing assessments, the athlete should always land in the same location of where the mat was originally.

The subject being recorded should be the only person in frame of the video during assessments.

Keep your recordings as short as possible to minimize processing time of the videos.
